The answer is 18.

In order to answer this question, remember PEMDAS: Parentheses (simplify inside them), Exponents, Multiplication and Division (from left to right) and Addition and Subtraction (from left to right).

So if we follow the PEMDAS rule we would first to [tex] 3 * 4 [/tex] . Which is 12. After that, we are left with [tex] 6 + 12 [/tex] .

Then just add to get your answer. [tex] 6 + 12 = 18 [/tex]
