the first thing you should do is to add -2q on both sides of the equation and then add +7 on both sides so you will have:
6q - 2q = 29 +7
4q = 36 so q is equal to 36/4 or 9 :)))
i hope this is helpful
have a nice day

6q-7=2q+29

Subtract 2q from both sides

6q-7-2q=2q+29-2q

4q-7=29

Add 7 to both sides

4q-7+7=29+7

4q=36

Divide both sides by 4

4q/4=36/4

q= 9

I hope that's help !
