how do chemical reactions differ from physical reactions?

There are several differences between a physical and chemical change in matter or substances. A physical change is a substance that doesn't change what the substance is, a chemical change on the other hand is when there is a chemical reaction, a new stubstabce is formed and energy is either given off or absorbed.
