70=A=Lw

L=2w-4

70=(2w-4)w

70=2w²-4w

70=2(w²-2w)

35=w²-2w

0=w²-2w-35

0=(w+7)(w-5)

-7=w or w=5

Measurements aren't negative

w=5 ft

L=2(5)-4

L=6 ft
