A torque of 180Nm is caused by a force perpendicular to a beam acting at a point 1.6m from the fulcrum. Caculate the magnitued of the force.

Torque =  Force * Perpendicular distance.
180 Nm = F      * 1.6.
  F* 1.6 = 180.
F  = 180/1.6  Use your calculator.
F = 112.5.
Force is 112.5 N. That's it.
