Why do you think Spartan boys were taught to never give up in battle?

Answer:

Like boys were trained to become soldiers, girls were trained to give birth to future soldiers. They lived with their parents, but had to undergo training in dance, gymnastics, and different sports which the Spartans believed would make them physically strong, something that would ultimately help them be strong enough to give birth.
