The volume of a pyramid with base area B and height h is 1/3 Bh. Jill makes candles shaped like pyramids to sell at a craft fair. The candles are 6 inches tall and have a base area of 4 square inches.

The candles volume is 8 inches
Volume of a pyramid is 1/3BH so that is the same as multiplying base times height and then divide by 3 so 4 times 6 is 24 and 1/3 of that or dividing it by 3 would be 8
