The argument that Andrew Carnegie put forward was that the wealth of a person has to be able to benefit the society at large.

Who was Andrew Carnegie?

He was an American industrialist and philanthropist. Andrew was of the opinion that the wealthy people in the society have to set examples for others to follow.

According to him, the wealthy had to be able to help the society rise and get better.
