You have to remember that:

[tex](-)*(+)=(-)[/tex]

and

[tex](-)*(-)=(+)[/tex]

[tex](11x^2+7)-(6x^2+3x-3)=11x^2+7-6x^2-3x+3=5x^2-3x+10[/tex]
