Exocytosis is vesicle-aided transport out of the cell. During this process vesicles are carried to the cell membrane and extracted out of the cell in the environment. 
A vesicle of large molecules fuses with the plasma membrane and leaves the cell.The opposite process of exocytosis is endocytosis, which is vesicle-aided transport into the cell.
