Is the number deer on the island a density-dependent or destiny-independent limiting factor for the wolf?

This would be Density-dependent I believe, since it means factors whose effects on the size or growth of the population vary with the population density. There are many types of density dependent limiting factors such as; availability of food, predation ( which would be the wolf's), disease, and migration.
