explain why organisms need enzymes to survive?

Enzymes are required to carry out Catabolic and Anabolic processes in Organisms which normally require high temperatures or high amount of energy. Enzymes act as catalysts and reduce the Energy required to carry out the process allowing the reactions to be carried out relatively fast at low temperatures.
