The phrase made me do it, is an attempt to make an argument, that ones actions are the result of someone else's behavior. This is a form of a defense mechanism often used when one wants to avoid sum sort of punishment, without a good explanation for their actions. This form of a defense mechanism may also be an attempt to get someone else in trouble as well.
