a is base 1
b is base 2
h is height
Put in the values you know
[tex] \frac{4 + 8}{2} *4[/tex]
Add
[tex] \frac{12}{2} *4[/tex]
Divide
6 * 4
Multiply
24
The answer is 24 square units
